NFB Natural Fibreboard is a registered trademark for wood fibre boards produced without any binding agents. NFB is licensed to EPF, the European Panel Federation. EPF is an organization that represents all European hardboard and softboard manufacturers that use the wet-process system, who comply with very restricted product characteristics and production process criteria.
The Natural FibreBoard (NFB) is a natural product brand to certify that fibreboard manufactured by EPF (European Panel Federation) members complies with all European health and environmental standards.
NFB licensed manufactures are committed to the principles of forest sustainability and the future of our natural resources.
NFB licensed members respect the environment and employee health and safety by establishing effective wastewater treatment, wood dust collection, and safe working conditions. All environmental and human health safety certification will be provided upon request. Certifications include F****JIS), CE-Marking, and FSC / PEFC.

Nature’s Glue
NFB hardboard and softboard products are manufactured by a highly specialized industry using only pure wood fibres.
NFB licensed members do not use any hazardous substances. NFB boards are clean and safe for human health and considered formaldehyde free. During the production process a thermo-mechanical treatment re-polymerize the lignin (nature's glue present inside the wood) that binds the wood fibres without the addition of synthetic glue or resin containing formaldehyde. NFB products are completely recyclable and biodegradable.
NFB boards are clean and safe for human health. Its manufacture involves cooking the wood and softening the lignin, wood’s natural glue, through a thermo-mechanical treatment, which will later bond the fibres originating NFB sheets, without the addition of binding agents containing formaldehyde. The sheets can be used for furniture, in the building sector or for thermal and acoustical insulation.
NFB products are completely recyclable and biodegradable.

NFB is Eco-Friendly
The use of NFB is considered fundamental in the search for solutions for the climate changes since it has the capacity to “trap” and store carbon dioxide (CO2). The constructions that include NFB give place to a new carbon accumulator that is an artificial extension of the forest. On average, one house with NFB can save up to 2 tons of CO2, value that is equivalent to a 750m2 forest extension.
